FAQ

1. How do OK e-cigarettes work?

OK e-cigarettes are powered by a tiny battery that automatically activates when you suck on the end of the e cigarette and heats up the element which vaporises the liquid containing the nicotine and flavour and you inhale – simple. So the 'smoke' that you breathe in and blow out is actually just flavoured water vapour. It feels like smoking, but without the smell, tobacco or tar.

2. What are the big reasons for people choosing OK e-cigarettes?

• Healthier than smoking tobacco
• Best quality electronic cigarette available
• No smell
• No ash
• Feels and tastes like a real cigarette
• Save money

3. How do the ingredients compare to those in tobacco smoking products?

The primary ingredients are glycerol and propylene glycol, and the secondary ingredients are nicotine and flavours to replicate the taste of traditional smoking.

Propylene Glycol - is an EU approved additive e-number E1520 and is also "generally recognised as safe" for use in food by the Food and Drug Administration of the United States of America (FDA). Propylene glycol is also used in cosmetics and medicines, food colouring and flavouring, as an additive to keep food.

Glycerol - is an EU approved additive e-number E422 and is also "generally recognised as safe" for use in food by the Food and Drug Administration of the United States of America (FDA). Glycerol is commonly used in foods, beverages, medical and pharmaceutical applications, such as cough drops.

Nicotine - is an alkaloid found in certain plants, predominately tobacco, and in lower quantities, tomatoes, potatoes, aubergine, cauliflower, and some teas.

Natural and Artificial Flavours - determined to be safe for use in food products.

4. What do OK e-cigarettes taste and smell like?

Our users say that OK gives them a taste of the real thing. All our products are available in different tasting tobacco strengths. Plus there are menthol and cherry flavours.
The other good news is – they don’t smell. So your clothes, hair, cars and homes don’t suffer either.

5. What should I be aware of before using OK e-cigarettes?

OK aren’t made for stopping smoking, they contain nicotine and therefore are only for over 18s. The long-term effects of using them are still not known as they are such a new product.
Always keep out of the reach of children as they have small parts which could be a choking hazard.

6. What is the shelf life of an OK e-cigarette?

They are good to use for 2 years from the manufacturing birthdate.

7. How often should I replace cartridges in my rechargeable OK cigarette?

If you are using a rechargeable OK product and the vapour volume is reduced below a satisfactory level or is no longer visible, immediately discontinue use of that cartridge and replace it with a new OK cartridge. Failure to do so will void the product warranty.

Store cartridges in a cool and dry place. You should never place other liquids into an OK cartridge and doing so will void the product warranty.

8. How long will my OK rechargeable battery last for before it needs to be recharged?

You’ll get 1-3 days use, depending on how often and how hard you are inhaling. Warning signs that it needs to be recharged:

• LED light, at the tip of battery, flashing several times
• Noticeably less vapour as you’re smoking

Batteries will take 3-4 hours to reach full power again. And you can recharge in excess of 300 times before it will need to be replaced.

OK uses a 3.6V special lithium battery and charger, which cannot be replaced by other lithium batteries or chargers. The input supply voltage of the charger is AC100-240V, 50/60Hz, or DC 12-24V. When traveling, ensure that the local electrical supply is in accordance with these specifications.

9. Is OK cheaper than smoking traditional cigarettes?

Yes. And a lot cheaper too. OK e-cigarettes cost from £1.70 for the equivalent of smoking 20 traditional cigarettes which these days cost around £6-£8.

10. Can I smoke OK anywhere?

Yes, they contain no tar or tobacco, so they’re not included in the smoking ban. However, sometimes you might be asked to ‘put your cigarette out’ as they look so realistic! So you might have to occasionally explain politely that they’re ‘not real’.

11. Is there a limited warranty?

12. Are OK e-cigarettes designed as a smoking cessation aid?

No. We haven’t tested them for this either.

OK e-cigarettes are realistic alternatives to traditional cigarettes. So they are healthier, cheaper and more convenient than the real thing – but they’re not actually designed to help you quit.

13. Where can I buy OK cigarette products?
